I just polished off a box of nicks (minor leaguer here). Other than the War Nickel, the 1954 Five Lire and the handful of 1939-1941 nickels I did find a very lustrous 1986-P with a nice Cud filling in that thin field area where Mr. Schlag wrote his initials.
A few months back I found an zinc penny with a sectioned lamination error, missing copper reveling a polished zinc planchet on both sides.

Anyone else find any noteworthy errors lately?

Cool finds. As of now, I haven't found any error coins, but I also don't really look that much.

to the forum.
And yes keep on watching for error coins. It is the one thing that many people that even collect coins miss. And there are always some that just keep on getting missed over and over.
