If you had 150 dollars to spend on coins what would you buy?

Not looking for any specific direction, just what your preference is. :) I always enjoy these types of questions.

In San Diego? Some form of protection from all those jerks coming across the boarder and if there's anything left, ammunition. Or a great 1909 S VDB LWC in Fine condition.

I'd buy off part of my credit card debt...

Seriously though, I'd buy a nice MS example Indian Head cent - obviously a later year issue.

A beautifully toned ms 64/65 morgan. It would have awesome electric blue fade to orange peripheral toning only. The toning would not go any farther than the middle of the stars. the entire coin must be blast white other than the edge toning. Yes, I have given this some thought.

I would have to find some more dated off center Lincolns to fill some more holes. The thrill of the hunt is half the fun!

I've got $150 set aside for one of the big 5 ounce silver coins the Mint is striking next month. Can't pass up a chance to own the largest U.S. coin ever struck.

I'd use it to open a door I can't right now. If I had $150 to spend on coins, I would spend it on a business licence which costs exactly $150 in this town and a "must have or else" to sell, so I could start buying, collecting, and also try selling some coins, and exempting my expenses ;)

troy1025: That's exactly what I did! I was the successful bidder at a numismatic postal auction, and that was the price!

A box of nickels and 2 boxes of pennies. After I searched and dumped them I'd probably try to get a 1917 SLQ in the best condition that $150 can get.

These would be my choices as well since I still have some low priced holes in those two albums. All of the other holes require key dates that would cost more than $150 each.
