IMOP, I think silver will go for a little while but it has to come down at some point.

SD, thanks for the article. Yup, I agree w/ you - I think we'll see an even bigger increase next year. I'm hoping to pick up more this year before it heads too much higher.

With silver booming in places like China and India, and the recent developments in medical fields. Silver may keep skyrocketing. It may stay at 20ish an oz. I can only hope the price comes down, as I just recently got involved in precious metals and am a bit disappointed I never got to stock up when prices were low.

silver prices would surely shoot up to sky. Invest now or you could not afford to get some good pieces later.
warm wishes.

Well silver is nowhere near its record high price of $49.45/oz set in 1980; though that was manipulated by the Hunt Brothers.
Silver can go quite a bit higher this year IMHO. I'm guessing $25/oz this year and $30/oz next year.

I believe we'll see $25 this year too, but am really hoping for a dip to 19-20 again, as I've got $$ sitting on the sidelines hoping to load up again with a few hundred more ounces. I am a believer that we'll see $30+ within 12 months.

Good article. But, until the Fed stops quantitative easing, silver and gold both will rise.

Silver prices will continue to go up as long as China needs a lot of it to make our Silver Dollars. And they now need plastic for those PCGS slabs they are putting the coins in too.

Quote: can you explain this 'quantitative easing' please? A government monetary policy occasionally used to increase the money supply by buying government securities or other securities from the market. Quantitative easing increases the money supply by flooding financial institutions with capital in an effort to promote increased lending and liquidity. In essence, the price of the dollar will decrease and precious metals (commodities) increase. Another way to look at it is that they would like to see a little inflation so they can increase the discount rate. The dollar was already rated at 77 cents last Friday. So much for king dollar! But it does make our exports look a lot better.
