I was on holiday when this thread was first posted last year, so apologies that I missed it.

It's an Ottoman Empire coin, and not ancient (I will be moving this thread from Ancients to World Coins shortly). It's hard to judge the size from that picture, but it's probably a 1 zolota; it's dated regnal year 1187 (1774 AD); the actual date is on the other side. See this one on zeno.ru for a similar coin.

Ggf, if you want a proper ID of your coin, post pictures of both sides of it - preferably in a new thread.
