WAMs are nice to find anytime, especially if they're still shiny.

Sooo jealous! I cant find a WAM of any year to save my life, and I've been through 370 rolls and no telling how much loose change. It's driving me mad!

Nice find, and keep looking, there are definitely some 99's still out there.AndrewLynn, I don't want to tell you how many rolls it took for me to find 6 WAM's....but I'm not halfway to your roll count...maybe it's the area.I even bought a couple before I realized how easy they would be to find.

Quote: easy to find When the silver cloud you're under passes, you'll be struggling like the rest of us (hopefully not but I think so)to find one. In my last 6 boxes I've found one 98 WAM in circulated & crudded condition. You've already seen the 2000 with wrapping marks on it that I found. Like I said, enjoy it while it lasts.

I can't figure out any reasoning for the randomness of finding these wide A M's. I go through months of never seeing one and then find 3 or 4 within a week. Last year I found six 1999's, but in the last 8 or nine months have not found one. I probably have found about forty each of the 1998's and 2000's, but probably have only found 3 or 4 of each in the last 8 or nine months. Keep looking, they are still out there.

If you get enogh WAM you will note that nearly all of them are wavy steps, at least the ones I have found do. Great find! Looks like these are drying up to beat all I've seen.
