I stumble on to these all the time, too. The only thing I have ever thought was that it looked like it may have fell into a garbage disposal!

Either way, if it's copper, it goes in the copper stash. If it's zinc, it gets traded for a new lottery coin.

,,you are the master of error coins,,,It took me years to put it together,,,I thought I had a moment of zen,,no,,a disposal works like a centrafuse, not a blender,,so why does the reverse get the damage?but thats what it is,,and I thought I was nuts,,thanks again

Far from it!

That's just what it always reminded me of. I found one once that looked like a perfect mummy costume on Abe.

I think I still have it somewhere. With my other cheap art.

I don't have a clue what you want to know. Your coin is heavily damaged.

It is just road rash from being scraped on concrete or asphalt, that is why it is only on one side.

Most of the pennies I pick up out of parking lots look like this on one side, or sometimes both sides. Just plain old parking lot damage.

Even one strong scratch turns any coin into a cull. So pass when you see them. I don't even give them a second thought.
