Why is it that coin collectors always lament the one that got away?
From the above, it seems obvious to me that Susan B. Anthony got the nod because she is a woman, and the fairer sex seems to be under represented on the coinage.
Lady Liberty is not a woman, she is an allegory.

Thanks for the jump-start! No coffee needed here. Less than 50 of these were made in silver.

Maybe when Congress runs out of politicos to promote it could settle on this beautiful design for a suitably-sized dollar coin? Don't get me wrong - I like the Sac/Native American coins (even though banks around here don't seem to have any of them), and I have been leaving prez dollars as tips as often as I can, but I'd really like to see a symbolic design like this one on the obverse of an American coin before I die and go to Numismaheaven.

I found my Scale after a 5-6 month search lol and this "coin" comes in at 0.42oz. I am only assuming that it is silver because it has a black spot starting to show up on the bottom of the Obverse under the star just after the last 7 of the date.

Gary.. Ken Potter made some reproductions of this coin in silver. The "COPY" on the reverse looks like it's in the same spot as those. He made a couple different ones: http://koinpro.tripod.com/ReproListUpdated.htm about 2/3 down the page.

you know I think your correct that it is a Ken Potter coin. I am not positive though but the copy looks exact to me. and I think I got it from one of his friends in another club I am part of. not sure exactly where I got it from but I think it was Jim A from the bing site. but I still don't have a clue what the value is but I think we will find out what the people here are willing to pay for it and as far as I am concerned that's what it's worth Gary

I have just been informed that I forgot to put the cost of shipping on this coin. it is the same with all my coins so your choice. 1st class is $2.50 and Priority is $4.95. and depending on what it go's for if it needs insurance I will pay that myself cause it is to cover my own butt. I only have the one and have no way of getting another cause I don't know where or how I got this one. but I am thinking either Jim AKA Laz or John D from Bing gave it to me in a drawing or something. sorry if this mistake messed with anyone's bidding price. Gary

ANY chance this coin is made from silver, or as stated in the above site, "some are clad"?

if it was clad I think it should have a line of copper on it. I will get a photo of the edge. it said solid silver on the flip and I think it came with a printout of it's content and all the info of it but I cant find it.
