I just bought this IHC and wanted to know your opinions as to what grade you believe it to be and whether it has been cleaned or any other problems with it. I have a 7 day return period from when I receive it, so when I get it, I will take a much closer look. Thanks for any input.

The pics are a little too brightly-lit to form conclusive opinions as to whether it's been cleaned. My gut, though, tells me that you just made a major score. The strike is just about as good as it gets for 1860.

No worse than AU58 and likely Mint State. IHC's photograph funny; especially the wreath leaves on the reverse look worn when in fact they're not. The obverse feather tips are weakly-struck in this year. I saw MS64 1860's on Heritage with weaker strikes than the coin you bought.

Cautious optimism prevails here. Looking forward to seeing the actual coin.

I agree. I quickly looked for 1860 IHC and this one came up. It only had a little time left and was relativley inexpensive. I decided to jump on it, especially given the 7 day return policy. The reverse looked pretty problem free to me, but the shine in the observer made me a little skeptical, but I can always return it. I think the best plan would be to wait to get it, post some better pics and then let you guys give me your opinions.

The picture isn't that great, but from what I can see I would say at least MS-62.

I like what I see too
That's a "rounded bust" variety--correct?
Sometimes my eyes play tricks on me.

I believe so, but for some reason, I need a comparison to make sure.

WOW, nice score, nice coin. Seems MS to me. Lighting on coin makes it hard to tell if cleaned.

Yes, it's a "rounded bust." I did the comparison as part of my research.
