My wife and I are in the market for a nicer detector but I figured I'd take the ole cheapo out since I really hadn't given it a fair shake.

Right away I find 4 cents at about an inch. It wasn't long before I find a quarter and later, 2 dimes together. Again all these where at about 1 inch.

I was in an area that I did not want to dig up so I quit.

It was fun learning the different beeps and buzzes and they made some since. The only thing really tricking me was the AL lumps from melted cans.

Guess I'll take it out back tonight and try for some older stuff.

Very enjoyable!

Tim

Well, I spent some time in the back yard. Found too much trash and 1 cent (71D). Wife found 6 more in the driveway but I not sure that counts :) She would disagree :)

I can walk under my house, built in 39, so I'm looking forward to sweeping it a bit. Heard some good beeps around the pillar that held the fireplace way back when but didn't have time to dig.
