I don't even know what I'm looking for here, so bear with me.

One of my collector missions has been getting a coin from every major power involved in WWII -- so far I have coins from Germany, Japan, the U.S., the UK, and France. I would love some way to find a blank display I can put these all in to protect them and store them, preferably with a way to insert my own card in the back that I'll custom-make to describe the coins and the conflict itself.

Does such a thing even exist?

Cool idea but I would think the variety of sizes would be a problem (short of making it yourself). Are you thinking about maybe all being of similar sizes? That would help. Also maybe try to line up on a US coin size for ease of availability, not sure that would help. Guess you could go with a "quarter" size and not mind the loose fit of the smaller coins. Not sure about the "card" thing.

quick search finds

I use the 20 pocket folder pages. I can put the coin in one pocket and the flag or info on the next.I use the BCW PRO-20T
hope that helps a bit

Always hate it when someone beats me to an idea. That is exactly what I had in mind. Although not sure but I think they also make those pages for currency. If so you could add info on a piece of paper and insert it in one of those right after the 20 slotted ones with coins in 2x2's. 3 ringed binders come in all varieties and sizes for them too. Some come with expandable capabilities using posts.
Also, using such a method you could add in those separating pages with tabs for different countries and/or continents.
