Has anyone done the ANA Numismatics Diploma Program?

Are the correspondence classes any good at all? In specific, is the grading class any better than, say, reading the grading standards book:

Does the diploma actually count for anything? If a person went to Heritage, e.g. and showed off such a diploma, would they laugh, or actually consider hiring?

Looking at the site, I believe the program is intended for minors.
