Approximately 34 mm (not perfectly round), and somewhat off-center. Thanks. Identified - moved to World Coins forum - Sap

Not much to work with, but I'm guessing Sudan 20 Piastres. Omdurman mint, 1890s.

Thanks for your input. Your guess is better than anything else we've found on-line.

the coin has patina on it and is worn out. Post the image on any coin collectors website, where people could identify the coin.
warm wishes.

The toughra looks too crude to convince me that this is other than an imitation of a Turkish coin design from around WW I. Check out the images in Krause and see if you agree. Can you get better photos of the reverse? I can't see any kind of a date - DCH, where do you see a date on the coin?
I'm no expert and I'm not trying to "call anyone out" here, but that toughra just doesn't look right.

Not only metal composition, there're a couple of stars by the toughra on Turk's coin. So far I cannot find a direct match in the Krause.

Remember silver earlier Ottoman and provicnes' coins have copper counterfeits made for circulation back in their dates.. Can be one, since that coin has several circulation marks.
