Lately I have been making some purchases and am in the market to make a few more. I was wondering what one might expect to pay for complete runs of proof and mint sets, dates below. I know what the prices on ebay are and for the most part the buy it now prices seem a bit inflated. Just wanted to get some opinions here. Thanks in advance.

List as follows:

1968-2010 clad proof sets.

1968-2010 Uncirculated mint sets.

1992-2010 Silver proof sets.

Most of the clad and UNC sets are inexpensive, especially if you're not looking for anything special (like small date, no "S", Prestige, Legacy).

The silver sets can get pricey. 1999 silver proof sets can go $200 easy.

Thanks for the info bherring, I get what your saying as I have collected all the silver proof sets since 1999. I have never collected clad sets nor really been big collecting UC sets. I was really looking for info on purchasing the whole run, all years, at once.

I,ve been working on catching up on these lately and I would guess $400-$450.
Thats just a guess. You can probably get 68'-89' for about $5-$7 bucks apiece,
90'-98' maybe $10 average, 99'-2010' will be about $250+.
I'm not sure if you can get a better deal if you buy all at once.
If my estimate is off I would say I'm a little low.
I am only talking about clad proof sets here.

Thanks for the info Bluezone. Those were my estimates on the clad proofs as well. Anyone have any ideas on the UC and silver sets?

I don't know about all of those, but I can tell you that I can pick up just about any proof from the 80"s and 90's for around $5-$7 at local auctions.

Well, I purchased all the clad proofs from '68-'09 today and it was right at $400, so estimates were right on. Wanna pick up the mint sets next while I have the cash and since I already have most of the silvers.

If any one has a full run of UC mint sets '68-'10 or even to '09 or '08 they wanna get rid of let me know or shoot me a price. Thanks!

$400 for 42 sets sounds pretty fair. I'm interested to know what you pay for the silver sets....: )
