Have been playing around with cameras and software and wanted to post something. This was done with a Casio Exilim (10.1m), hand held with the flash off and a incandescent bulb (from my inspection stand). Then did a combine in Photoscape. Not the best, but should have a decent set up by end of the week (lighting and stand for camera). I know my selection of coin is a little strange, but just grabbed something at hand (my collection is really a mess right now).

It seems to be a great image although larger photos would improve the quality by a lot. Any chance of bigger images?

to the forum! Your pictures are good! if you want to upload bigger pics immediately, make an account with photobucket. You'll be able to upload the larger files.

Your lighting looks weighted towards the top, try to get some light to the bottom of the coin but don't forget to keep the contrast

Welcome. That's a great coin. Wish I saw one when I was there.
