FORVM Auction page.

I'm not a member at FORVM yet - I'm already involved in four forums (most actively at this one).

You can be pretty safe that any ancients sold there are heavily scrutinized, where obvious duds and otherwise suss coins wouldn't last long.

(Edited for spelling... you'd think a post this short wouldn't need a spell check, but noooo...)

I've been an active member of FORVM for the last couple years and have bought from the member auctions a few times. Just remember, that they are member auctions and anyone can be a member, thus of course you are faced with the same concern as buying on ebay. However as FORVM is a close-knitted community, I can say with a degree of certainty that their auctions are safe.

I am a member and used to spend more time over there than I do now. I just don't have the time anymore. I purchased a book from them and the transaction went very smoothly. The members of the forum over there are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had some questions back when I first joined and they were great.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If I was buying ancients, I'd feel more comfortable buying there than anywhere else.
