It's been mentioned here (by me) about a month and a half ago. Search for poppy on the mint.ca site.

G'day, any Canadians who acquire surplus of these and want to swap them for Australian coins, please read on - how about a trade, say US$10 equivalent, we each pay our own postage. Tell me what you'd like, and I'll save good specimens.

Yup, and the price is listed at the bottom when you view another product (and you look at the recently viewed products).
I did provide the information, if you're unable to read then perhaps you should see an eye doctor (and don't troll, it's not nice).

On page 23 of the Winter catalog that just came out and was mailed to all RCM registered customers, there is an "actual size" illustration of the coin. It is loonie sized, not 25ยข. My hunch is it will be a circulation loonie version of the silver poppy dollar that just sold out. They'll use the same dies or artwork and aureate bronze planchets. Probably make 3-5 million. Early birds at Nuphilex may find some at the RCM booth, but they'll probably limit to 5 each.

It looks like they are being sold as 5 packs (like the Rider loonies), and with a price of $2.50 from the mint (if you view another item it shows up in recently viewed items, as stated by rodime). Could they be 50-cent pieces?

Specification is three-ply nickel finish plated steel... with 25cent face value. Also, talked to my local post office, they said they're getting in remembrance day quarters.

When: Monday, October 25, 2010 10:00 a.m. CDT Where: Royal Canadian Mint 520 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg, Manitoba Who: Ian E. He had no explanation for the "actual size" image on page 23 of the winter catalog being the wrong size.

my other RCM contact in Winnipeg just called back and confirmed Canada Post is the distributor for this coin, no idea if they will impose a limit or sell full rolls (this probably depends on how you treat Canada Post employees), and none are to be sold prior to the official Oct 28th launch. The RCM gift shops might have rolls but not before Oct 28.

I was at my favourite post office today and asking about this coin and she said the 28th of oct. and no limit. Also they have on sale now a cardboard set with the .25 poppy (2010) in it and room for the 2004 and 2008 poppy coin for $10, 04 and 08 NOT include.
