What are 'flow lines' ? How do they work, what do they look like, and what causes them ?

Yes, I can google and read and look just as well as anyone else, but when it comes to all of this coin stuff, I feel as though I am standing on the event horizon, looking down as all of this knowledge that professes to be king is swept and swirled, and stretched into string like information that is unrecognizable to me in its altered dimension called the internet site.

These are the result of very deteriorated dies. Sometime accompanied with an "orange peel" effect. Pic shows where they get their name.

Thanks very much fioti. The semantics of it all gets me every time. I have seen this effect before, but under the disguise of another name.

Is that the one about "die bleeds"? I like that. Sounds more clinical.

Yeah, that would be sorta neat sounding (if you are into guts and gore).....but no, I have learned to recognize it as 'die wear'.

Thanks again buddy.
