I was just wondering if anyone is familiar with the unopened roll market and about how much this roll would be worth? thanks in advance.

CDN price $8. However, if it's a real OBW it will command a bit more, like $10-15.

Nice. I was just curious. I bought one about an hour ago for $17.50 I guess I overpaid but I really wanted it.

Looks like an original roll to me and the price you paid is only a bit over retail. I also noticed that most people don't include the S/H in there final cost.At $17.50 for the roll that comes out to be 35 cents per coin but when you add in S/H cost it's 41 cents per coin.I know it's no big deal but when it comes time to sell your coins I'm sure you want to make a profit so you need to factor in "all" the costs. And if you put it in a 2x2 you have to add the cost of the 2x2 also.Just saying, John1

Indeed, always factor in shipping. You paid $20.50 for the roll. A bit pricy, but not outrageous. Just keep your fingers crossed that it was stored properly. About half of the OBW rolls I buy have had some nastly looking coins inside from improper storage.

Well you will know when you receive the roll. I for one (and it is only my opinion) would have been suspicious when they stated uncirculated. If one looks up the definition of uncirculated "Term to indicate a coin or numismatic item that has never been in circulation" the fact that it is in a regular roll and that it was not from a bank, but a mortgage company, I think you may find the ones inside are far from uncirculated, BUT, if they are then I would say you made a great deal The current 2010 blue book value for one in MS63 retails for .05 and .25 for a MS65. Depending upon the grade, I think you made out all right.

You were not the only one that wanted it. Two others were willing to pay $17. I'd call that a good sign. Wait 10 years

I've been buying rolls since the 60's and have almost 150 rolls of pennies alone, most from the 40's on in BU-Unc. From 1910 to the 40's are mixed, but I'm still buying.. and a heck of a wrapper collection! They are out there you just have to keep looking!

Love the Wells Fargo Roll with the horses on it chrsb I only have a few mint rolls, 1967, 1981, 1983. Don't know if the 83 is a far bead or near bead, It is hard to tell without harming it. And of course these are Canadian.

That's a really nice roll collection! jnesbitt, let us know when the roll arrives. Are you going to open it? Or keep it as a roll?
