Recently I purchased this counterstamp Guatemala silver coin from France. This coin, according to SWCC was countermarked on 1840,the host coin is a bolivian 8s which much scarer than Peru 8R.
The countermark I thought was type IV 'cause it seems the two marks were paired in hinged dies and counterstamped in on application.
Although the host coin has scartches that indicate it was cleaned at a time, but the two marks are pretty nice and could reach a AU condition.I purchased it with a very sound price, the market value is around $500-$800
