Poll Question
Since our one cent composition seems to change with the wind, I thought we should have a fun poll for 2011.

Weigh in with your vote, or any other anomalies/opinions about our 2011 cents. Will it be the last year for the circulating cent? Will it be a big-mintage year, or will there be sought-after varieties?

Poll Choices
 Copper plated zinc only
 Copper plated steel only
 Both circulating
One type circulating, the other in sets

So far, the overall feeling out there is that 2011 will be like 2010 is so far. I stand corrected... the overall feeling changed!

No one option got zero votes. Just goes to show how confused the RCM makes us collectors sometimes!

If you voted for "one type circulating, the other in sets", which planchet do you think will circulate?

Copper plated zinc will cirulate and the steel will be in sets.

How about demonetising them? Oz. got rid of theirs back in 1991. All it requires is a Act of Parliament.

I like the idea of demonetizing them, but it almost certainly won't happen before 2011. I don't know about Oz, but here in Canada parliament doesn't move too fast.

That's why my poll left that option out.
