Seems I originally posted this in the wrong forum, thought I'd try it here...

Going through the registers at closing time today, as every day and pulled out some nickels, a few cents, and a silver dime. Was excited about the dime find, and almost didnt even look through the rest as they weren't in very good shape, but the fiance talked me into checking them at least, and I ran across this. I'm 99% certain this is the 1954 S over D error, but wanted that extra 1%, so here I am... And here she is..

Thanks in advance for the answers/feedback!

I have only seen one and it looked a little different. The straight leg of the D was thinner and the bottom of the D was visible below the S.That being said,I can't tell for sure using these pics.

I apologize for beging a novice but I have a question regarding the 1954 jefferson s/d. I have what was noted by my father as a 1954 d/s jefferson... the coin is in vg condition and with an 10x you can see how it looks like a d/s not to be confused with the inverse s/d. Its is clearly a "d" mint with what appears to be an "s" mint underneath. My quesiton is, I dont see any post or questions about the d/s except for 1955 jeff's. So is there a chance my 1954 jeff d/s is legit or is it just a flaw. I have no decent camera yet to upload pics, but would like some feed back. I am extremely new to collecting and need all advice, I have been left with duffel bags on end of very very nice coins and proofs, ect.
