wow thats the coolest break I've seen on a lincoln. awesome find. And to answer your question, as far as I know they are very rare.

Very uncommon, very appealing and it's dramatic. It would be classified as a split die.

It would be most appropriately labeled a "split die". Such errors are quite rare overall, and I've never seen this particular one. In fact, I don't recall seeing any from this year on Lincoln cents. Nice find.

Extremely Nice find.Rim to Rim die break on a modern LMC.I've never seen one like this myself
