I know I will get MANY different answers to this question, but what banks do you guys have the most luck in finding old or rare coins at? I found a 1916 at First Interstate Bank. But thats about the only bank I have found to have anything good.

So like I said, where do you guys buy rolls of coins?

Well I get mine at a local Glacier Bank. They are neat cause the do not order any rolls. They get all there coin from customers. Sometimes I have gotten full rolls of wheat's, and they hang on to silver for me. In return I get the tellers lunch, or bake them something.

Navy Federal Credit Union, their rolled coins are from the customer turn-ins. Many of these customers are not aware of the coin counter machine inside the bank. It cost nothing to dump coins into there and it deposits directly it to your bank balance. So I take rolled coins search through them and then dump them in the coin counter machine. This machine bags them up and they are picked up, they are not returned into circulation at the bank. I have had a fair amount of luck this way!

Up north I do not have much choice on where to go and the pickings are getting slim. But when I went out west a little bank in a one bank town that I stopped at got me 23 wheat's 1910 -1936 in 8 rolls.

Has anyone every tried to get rolls from the coinstar people and had any luck? I've read that those things are a good place to look for coin because people just come in and dump coins to get cash...

Also, it seems people have more luck with smaller/local banks rather then bigger/multi state banks?
