I really don't want to see the 1969 S corroded one well enough to see if its the special one but can't part with it, had to post it. My two '69 S Lincolns!! I think I'm hooked and have a hoarding tendency perhaps if I can't toss even the damaged coins?

It's fun to find US coins and even key dates up here. Always a bit of excitement to spot key dates and before having had a close look at them.

Don't worry, eventually you'll be able to let go! I think we all had that at first!

I finally accepted the fact that some of these coin cancers are contagious! Once you get sick of keeping them quarantined, you'll find it a lot easier to let them go. Plus, you're tying up trading money that could be used for more roll-searching.

Yes, I quickly separate the cancerous looking scarcer finds or dates ones from the rest and give them their own space. I tend to toss the damaged and catchy looking coins into a little box or in a separate little envelope or bag. Ostracizing them but don't want them to be lonely. Even lepers had their own colonies and cholerics quarantined together

Biokemist6, I keep all S coins I find too. I have a few S Lincolns (not many) and they seem uncommon to find, so yes, I keep 'em. I had found a 1954 S nickel once, my birth year!! and its a goner with all the other few keepers I had in a container and lost track of. I fear I spent them all accidentally. Either that or they're tucked somewhere, somwehere LOL

Geez, organization needs to happen soon what with all the different mints and marks, as my Canadian and US keepers grow each month now

Good luck with that. I have been getting "organized" for 10 years now. I have input my organizational trend data in to my computer and by using datatronic algorithms I found that if I can keep up my current pace I will have my collection completely organized by the second Christmas in the year 3308AD.

Yeah. Let God sort 'em out then. I like your attitude. Either that or get a personal assistant to organize my coins AND MY PLACE! I used to have everything important in its place for quick access, now nothing is organized anywhere. Too many moves and too much arthritis the last few years. Bleh.

I do too. I'm lucky enough to live in California, and I find more than my share of S-mint Memorials....and I hoard each and every one of them.

As far as being organized....heck...I have trouble even spelling the word.
