Does anyone have a link regarding what coins can be sent to other countrys. I sell a few online coins here and there, was wondering what the rules are, so far my items have reached the buyer ok.. any general info on what is allowed or not allowed, mainly I sell a few coins to usa and Canada.

Is there a site I could study that may have this type of general info.. thanks j

mainly have been selling off my collection. No high end coins just a few vintage type silver coins etc. I mostly know a few ebay rules like a coin must be stated replica if not real, etc. just need more info on policy's of sending coins to another country. Sorry if this is in wrong forum.. j

I once had problems sending coins minted in Cuba to the US, Not just Cuban coins but others such as Afghanistan Laos etc. They were sent back by customs.

I believe the USPS.com Post Office web site has that info. Each country has different regulations, and a lot of them list coins, currency, and banknotes specifically. I am an internet dealer here in the USA, and to avoid all of the hassle, I only sell to customers in the USA.

I find there isn't any problem buying or selling coins from Canada to the U.S. and vice versa, the only problem I had was some coins I mailed to Turkey, as, far as I know they never did get there.

The only coin I ever purchased overseas came from Germany. I waited 2 weeks for the coin to arrive. Other than that, I would have no problem buying another coin from an overseas dealer.
