Hello,

I posted another apparently fake confederate note a few days ago but hopefully the viewers will feel different about this new one.

The texture of this particular note is not crispy nor does it make the same degree of crispy/crackling noise when manipulated compared to the fake one I posted a few days ago.

Please determine what the grade and current $ value of this bill would be.

I also want to ask the experts out there to give me some pointers on how to ID counterfeit confederate bills other than just searching for suspect serial numbers.

What actually would be the problematic serial numbers for this type of currency?

I would like to see some examples of details that are considered visual dead giveaways of counterfeit work for Confederate currency.

It would be nice to ID these type of bills when buying on ebay, for example, when one does not have the luxury of touching and feeling the bill before buying it etc.

For what its worth this bill has been scanned with a plastic transparent Mylar covering both sides.

Thanks

From all the confeds I've seen so far, this looks real. I think a good way to recognize it is from the baby blue backs of most notes. All real confeds have that particular shade, while modern repros just can't seem to get it right.

As for price and all the other questions, I'll leave it to someone with more US experience

Does each bill have its own sn or are there multiple bills with the same for a given year and date.
I posted that a guy on craigslist had a $5 and $20 bill who;s numbers were on the counterfeited list. Is it possible his are real, or is there only one note iwth that sn? If so the odds are almost impossible that he has them. He swears that he had them checked and they were real.
