Starting To See Some Familiar Names

Good Job Susan! I was in Dodge City in January and took a picture of the marker in what remains of Boot Hill. Only woman to ever get into that historic grave yard and her well known reputation of being a "soiled dove" helped put her there. Was there anything about Dodge that I didn't like? Yes, the COIN SHOP is CLOSED ON MONDAYS and that is the only day I had to shop!!!

Nothing more than she was a "lady of the night" so to speak and was killed in a bar room brawl. I couldn't even find out if the shooting was intentional or accidental. She may have been an innocent bystander who managed to be in the path of a loose bullet but my instincts tell me she was right in the thick of the brawl when someones gun went off? Couldn't find out more but do know she was "well liked" by many but still managed to be the first "soiled dove" (what a polite way of putting it) to ever end up in Boot Hill! That distinction alone would surely warrant a commemorative, wouldn't it?
