a 5F sold on ebay last year: plenty of bids; got to just over $100 as I recall. Peter in Oz

I bought many spanish 25 peseta knife coins in the 1960s. Some but not all were made from real coins, and are still available relatively cheaply in spanish markets.

I do agree with some of you for being sad about the destruction of the coin, but when these were made these coins were like todays quarters or half dollars I bet. I was able to find this: http://dreamcoins.chez-alice.fr/pri...x/index.htmlwhich shows some prices on some replica coin knives, but no prices for vintage coins, some of these seem to be vintage according to the hallmark info on the site. interesting info on the maker as well.

I saw a few of these while back at a auction but have no idea what they are worth. I really wanted one made out of a Morgan dollar but was in a hurry and didn't even get a chance to see what it sold for

Try Elio.net.Just found it.I can remember seeing this type of knive in the '60's.Never purchsed because of the wasted money as a kid on Lincoln smoking cigar cents.
