A lady I know has 2 rolls of wheat cents that her late husband rolled about 20 years ago. What do you think is a reasonable price to offer for them unseen?

I'd say @ $2.50 a roll. Thats .05 cents a cent. Seams average to me. If I'm off base others will chime in I'm sure. WOLF

I'd happily pay $2.50 a roll all day long.

Yes I would offer an average price, if she declines bump it up.... you never know it could be a jackpot! Just how much to bump it up is your call. IMOH I would offer no more the ten bucks. Please let us know how this turns out?

Sounds good to me. Even at 20 years old, you've probably got a good chance at finding a lot of common date 40's and 50's. But of course, I hope they are 2 solid rolls of BU 1909-S VDB's!!

I think you'd be more likely to get struck by lighting than finding 2BU 1909 s VDBS

Would that be two bolts of lighting or just one? he he.... Either way I agree! But you could have slight chance to find a semi-key? I love the 26S right now, anything under that 15 million mintage (24 Under that counting 22 no D) would be great in a higher grade. Having said that, you know that its most likely just a bunch of common (over 100 million minted) wheats.

2.50 a roll sounds fair to me too and you never know what keys you are gonna find it them. some of the keys today was not keys 20 years ago but there are also a few that was keys then that are no longer keys but in any case good luck and keep us informed
