Found this in the cash drawer this morning. It looks almost brand new! It's a 1961 and still has some luster!
Nice find!

Just did a little research. Apparently there was 3 million proof minted at the philly mint in 1961. I would guess it is a proof after all! Looks like I should have done my home worlk first!

Starting in 1968, yes. 1964 and before were minted in Philadelphia. No proofs for 1965, 1966, and 1967.

I could be a proof, or it could not, it just kind of looks that way. We will need better pics to be sure. Include the reverse too!

Thanks. I maintain it looks very proofy, but i'll let the experts chime in. The rims do look like a proof though.

The only interesting find in 9 CWR's was a Jefferson nickel (not even an old one).

Inspired by what I found at the Mexican restaurant, I bought $300 worth of quarters at my bank that is near there... and I found a 1964-D in one of the rolls.

CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
