I wonder when the last time someone found a silver quarter from roll hunting. I know they're out there, people have found silver in the Coinstar machines, so that must mean that they still exist.

Cashed in the quarters I didn't need from the last rolls, and used that to get 2 more rolls because this is fun. I was excited to get not only 1 Kisatchie ATB Quarter, but two more besides! I used to live in Louisiana so I was looking forward to finding one of those. Wooo.

I think I'll wait until a couple of weeks after the Blue Ridge Highway quarter is released to go back.

coincollector 110 - I gave up, but I found a few earlier this year. I was averaging 1 per $1000 bag for a long time and was doing 20 bags or so/year or more. not worth it.

I picked up just five rolls to look for some hole-filling ATB pieces. Lo and behold, I found a couple of silvers. Wasn't even looking for silvers, but they're kinda hard to miss.

Oh yeah, got a few ATB pieces, too (still have holes).

Opened a roll of quarters into the till at work an found out we got jipped out of 45 cents. There was a nickel in the roll and a U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots token. Interesting. I kept it and that leaves just the dimes that have been completely unfruitful to me. I've found one silver quarter, several silver nickels, and no Indian Head cents but plenty of wheats including a 1943 steel and some early dates in MS state.

Well, at least there was an interesting token. There could have been a pair of rotting Zincolns instead.

I don't hunt quarters, I usually do halves. However, I went by a bank today for halves, and saw a white rim in the teller's stack of quarters. She saw it and said "Wow, 1935!" She even gave it to me. I took all her halves and small dollars out of gratitude.
