I went to about 9 local banks in the cincinnati area and got a grand total of 179 Ike dollars, 22 40% silver halves, 2 90% silver halves, Three 1953 2 dollar gold certificate, and 1 1935E silver certificate.

  All I found today was 3 common date clad halves.

Awesome day for you it sounds!  I picked up 4 boxes of halves today and so far have gotten skunked on 2. Give me some of that luck!

I will give you luck depending on where you live. If you live on southern Ohio, well no luck for you. But all other areas good luck. Hope you find something of value on your search.

That's good. I go to Eastgate sometimes. My sister view there for anime conventions sometimes. there is one at the Eastgate mall.

There is some value but usually not a premium. I really don't know cause I usually collect coins not bills. I know star notes adds some extra cost to the bill.

Very nice haul! As XG pointed out the $2 notes are not gold certificates but are United States Notes as they say above the portrait and around me dealers typically pay around $3 - $4 for them in circulated condition. I hit several bank branches around me and it has been a long time since I've gotten an old $2 bill. You're having a great weekend.

Nice haul! I grew up in norwood, too bad the old Fidelity Federal Bank went out of business! I really wish I had roll searched when I was growing up.
IF you are willing to drive, I bet Batavia, lebanon, or Milford would be good places to hit. There are a TON of small towns around Cincy!
Too bad I live in Cali now. LOL
