Hello all. I have a 1944 50 centavos coin from Portugal, and I'd like to know more information on this coin. I'd like to know what it's made of, is it of any worth, and an opinion of the condition grade. This coin weighs 4 grams on my little scale, and is about the size of an American quarter. Please, any thoughts?

Hello!

Your coin is made of copper nickel. Total mintage was 2 974 000 which is about standard for the type. Value is given in Krause (2005) as being $0,25 in F and $1 in VF (KM#577). I would rate your coin as an F/VF myself.
