I was looking at the 1919 1/4 rupee and was wondering what grade it was. Any suggestions if I sent it to NGC what grade it would be given?

Thanks

I not seeing any signs of wear and there is still some luster present. Other than the small ding in the field on the obverse there is no other marks visible. I would grade this coin at MS-63. Very nice.

@echizento : Just curious, it is listed as $12 for Unc grade in the catalog. Does the price go higher for MS61 + considering its better than Unc?

The price will increase the higher the grade. Keep in mind that book value is usually higher than what you will actually get for the coin.

Nice coin. It appears to have some wear on the crown and lower shoulder area on the obverse and some on the top flower on the reverse. I would put it at a high AU. Not sure if I'd spend the money to get a $12 coin holdered but that's just me.
