Just Bought My First Banknotes A Couple Of Days Ago......

I know I didn't get anything rare or valuable, but everything has a story.... On the The Japanese Government one ( which I believe is from when the Japanese took over the Philippines), there is some sort of note on it which I find pretty fascinating. A nationalist and revolutionary leader still much admired in Burma (Myanmar) to this day. He is also credited with founding the modern Burmese army which kept his daughter under house arrest for 20 years. Yes, he's the father of Aung San Suu Kyi! Oh the irony of it all.
