Learned Something Today That I Probably Should Have Know

So dj...where was the VDB originally located on the penny and what does VDB stand for? Just a question to see how much more you learned just for fun.

It stands for Victor David Brenner, It was the designer of the coin, It was origanal located on the back of the coin at the bottom. I knew that much I just though that the 1909 was the only one with it.Also Brenner died in 1924 and is buried at Mount Judah Cemetery just add a little more. Also I have only been collecting coins seriously for just over one year and I have learned so much in one year. I never knew how many different types of coins the US minted. So yes I am alway reading and learning.

Memory is a funny thing.

I was talking to a good friend today, and I told him, pretty much word for word, a conversation we had back about 1956! However, I picked him up fopr lunch at the wrong time. Why? Because I forgot the correct time -- a fact I learned this morning!
