here is a coin image I am thinking of requesting as my "avitar" image. this is a coin I found in circulation, and is one of the earliest coins I posted on this forum. my request for opinions, is either if these of good enough quality, and if so is one better than the other - for an avitar image. or should I try taking better images. thanks.

In my opinion the top image looks better. Avatar is rather an object, the bottom looks too much as a picture of an object rather than the object itself.

I agree the image should be as nice as possible as this will be linked to you, maybe scan the image and crop it nicely, as both these images have ragged edges, low quality res and looks like it has a angle, But then that said, hey it is your avatar, and totally your choice, that is the beauty of it, you could have it if you want.

I always suggest using one similar to mine.
