pfriddle Valued Member United States 151 Posts	Posted 11/10/2010 10:36 pm Once I realized that everywhere I lived for long (so far) has a commemorative coin, I decided I should pick them up. I grew up in Chicago and I already had a few Columbian Halves. Then, I spent a decade or so in central Illinois. It wasn't Springfield but I figure it's close enough for this Lincoln to count. After that, I moved to the San Francisco Bay area for the last 5 years. Now, in about a week and a half, I'm moving to Albany, NY. I'll start looking into picking up a Bay Bridge coin and an Albany coin. We'll see what comes next. Report this Post to the Staff

The obverse design is based on a statue outside of the Illinois State Capitol depicting President-Elect Lincoln delivering his farewell speech to Springfield.
