I flew in to Canberra from Melbourne especially for the show (you've got to love those frequent flyer points!). The day opened with a champagne breakfast provided by the Royal Australian Mint to launch their 2011 products. There were prize draws and a massive Mob of Roos dollar cake. They also had a showbag, which included a 5% discount at the Mint's shop and 50% off the price of entry to the ANDA show.
Once in through the doors I managed to pick up four of the counterstamped 100 Years of Australian coinage dollars from the mobile press. As there was an initial limit of 2 coins per customer at the mobile press this meant two trips around the ever increasing queue, which was enough for me as I wanted to see what some of the dealers had brought along. The mobile press was certainly the main draw of the show. I also completed my set of silver 100 Years of Australia coinage dollars with the Master Mint Mark show special. I then added a couple of additions to my collection of British commonwealth silver before heading to the mint itself.
As it was my first trip to the mint I was amazed how well catered for visitors the place is and lost myself in the displays for over an hour before minting a couple of dollars at the gallery press to complete the set. The final visit of the day was also coin related in a way as I popped in to the old parliament building on the way to the airport, which of course graces the reverse of the 1927 Florin which commemorates its opening.

I went along too and was lucky enough to go along and meet a few people including Splock, which was a pleasure indeed. We posted up our activities at the show on our blog (link below) if anyone is interested in reading it. I wont post a direct link in case it upsets the OP.

I see I didnt even need to post a link to upset the op. You asked a question, I happened to attend and have written about it. If you don't want an answer don't ask the question.

Problems on another forum are exactly that, problems on another forum. They have nothing to do with here and certainly should not be brought up here.

Thank goodness for that, with me and the voices in my head I don't think there's room for yet another alter ego.
