For some reason, this caught my eye, as I don't recall ever seeing a "T" suffix before. The complete serial# is F 12886324 T.

It's an Atlanta note, printed January of this year, with a run of 3.2 mil, if I'm reading the table at uspapermoney.info, correctly.

I've read (I don't remember where) that certain suffix letters are not as common as others? Or, to rephrase, the higher the letter is in the alphabet, the less likely it is, that it will be used as a suffix?

Is this correct?

I can post a pic of this note, if requested.

My apologies.

It's a series 2006 note. Would help if I posted the series year, 'eh?

I suppose that would be correct. Because notes are printed with suffixes starting at "A" and then working their way down, (skipping O and Z), the higher letters are not as common because it is not often that those many notes are printed.... I don't think it would be worth anything much, though

Although that does seem like a low print run...

I recently posted here about a Y block note I found saying that they were hard to come by and I still stick to that statement.

Here is a link to one post in that thread. Notice everything from T block on down.

Any series that goes all the way to Y block has an equal amount (give or take due to error notes) of notes printed for that series. Except maybe for Y (I would have to look into that).

But since not all series go that high, and because the life expectancy of paper money is so low, a person mainly sees in circulation the most recent series. The most recent series probably hasn't gotten that high yet.

My point is that there are fewer of these high block notes in circulation than low block notes. I am NOT saying the are valuable I'm just saying they are less common to find. There are still a lot of them around.

Thank you Nickelman, and coinsearcher for the responses.

Okay, that must be where I read that, then. Thanks Nickelman, for jogging my memory.

Just to clarify, I never thought my T block note would be worth anything over face, or wondered if it was worth keeping. I just thought it was neat, because of how uncommon it is to find notes with high block letters. I'll hang onto it for now, though. It looks like T block is the highest the '06 Atlanta notes went, and appears to be a relatively short run.

Oh, and regarding that series '95 Y block: I found one myself, a few weeks ago. It was a rag though, which was kind of a bummer, so I spent it.
