amazing detail and it says its hand carved. I would of thought something like this would have had more of a bid by now.

Why is this called a "Hobo" nickel? DO hobos put this artwork onto a nickel to sell for a profit?

The Original HOBO nickels were made by people riding the rails (Also known as Hobo's) and yes they would carve images on Buffalo nickels and then sell them where ever they stopped at the time to get food or what ever. Some of the old ones and some of the better modern ones sell for allot of money
