So I bid on this and forgot about it, thinking there was no way I'd win for $4.95 (including shipping). The coin is not as dark as the pictures show, the reverse detail is a little better than the photos show. The pitting (from corrosion?) is accurate.

What do you think? 1876 nickel. Was it worth 100xface?

Well considering fmv G4 is $24 via the NM site I'd say you did good.

I would say its worth about $10 in that condition (a little more if its problem free), so still a pretty good grab.
