1991 $100.00 Gold/Silver Proof coin
1991-$100.00-Gold-1/4-Oz-Proof-Canada-Steamship
26.9 mm 13.338 grams of which
7.775 grams ( 1/4 Troy Oz. ) is .999 pure gold equaling 58.33% gold and the other part 41.67% is .999 pure silver.
This proof coin has the Queen Elizabeth on the Obverse and the design on the reverse was designed by Vancouver artist Karsten Smith. It portrays the arrival of the first Canadian Steamship "Empress of India" from Yokohama Japan in 1891.
A very attractive design in my opinion.
COA, Airtite, leather book type, velvet 2 sided center, hard case.
