It might be rare, but trying to double the record for the highest proce ever paid for a single coin is a little excessive!

(edited to add hysterically laughing figure a second time)

That is so highly ridiculous. He has 7 offers though, but all were declined. Pretty sure they aren't close to what he thinks its worth. I'll give him a $1 for it.

Love how he has placed a photo of a slab and then a photo of the coin.

But no photo of the coin in the slab.

Tell him that I'll throw in AUD$2 as well as your US$1 - I'd love to see his response!

Isn't Greed one of the seven deadly sins, right up there with Sloth and Gluttony (yeah!)? He'll never sell it for what he apparently wants. Also, his "private bidder" and poor feedback are working against him. Further, he is selling what is almost certainly a counterfeit 1799 Draped Bust Dollar: http://cgi.ebay.com/1799-DRAPE-BUST...CE_W0QQitemZ330022272654QQihZ014QQcategoryZ11976QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (duly reported to ebay). And even further, his coins generally have over-inflated grades with one in a very questionable slab PNGS and another in a PCI slab.

Andrew, every time I see your username "pattiewhack", I think of the old movie Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958, Ingrid Bergman) and the theme song, This Old Man, He Played One... "he played knicknack on my thumb with a knicknack pattiewhack give the dog a bone. This old man came rolling home.". Was this the inspiration for your username?
