This is a super example of medallic artwork. Looking at many of the modern medals and coins in particular, one can't help but wonder how and why such artistry is no longer prevalent .... Museum quality, this.

Wow!! Where can I go to learn more about the medals; heraldry, subjects, types of awards? Not getting much off the Internet except for Wikipedia.
