Found yesterday in a coin show "bargain bin", labeled as a "Jaipur rupee, 1888".
For those who know, does that seem right? Thanks for your help!

Weight is 13.25g There are cuts and other interesting marks on the rim, presumable to test silver content?

Yes.Jaipur.The plant-like mark on the figure on the right is diagnostic.Any coin with that is an issue of Jaipur.

Yes, these are analogous to the "chop marks" on coins that circulated in China. In the Indian series, they're known as "shroff marks".
