Did Carson City even exist in 1842?

Anything bad in it isn't present. And what, if not the secret, defines a forgery in the first coin?

The American coins - not my specialization. I have bought them from the bedouin for 10 dollars, all 3. Has received the pleasure sea in search of their history.)

Yes, unfortunately they are not original coins and no Carson City did not mint coins in 1848. Sorry for the bad news.

That probably gave you your answer right there. (The chances of a real US coin being sold there and for that price is infinitesimally small).

They all are fake (as you probably suspected). And not good ones.

But to the Forum! Don't let this bad first experience be the last time we see you!

The bottom two are obvious, coins which were not minted in the year of their dates.

The top one, though, has fairly accurate details. It is far too soft-looking to be genuine. The details are not nearly raised from the surface of the coin enough. The lettering (especially the obverse) is way too weak. The denticles are also far too small and weak for this type of coin.
