2 Euro, 2002 - Belgium (Coin Error, 90 Degree Turn!)

Kingz Pillar of the Community Netherlands 626 Posts	Posted 11/28/2010 08:52 am I have a few interesting coins that have some kind of error, one more interesting then the other however...and this is one of them! As far as I know, this does not happen very often with Euro coins. I have only 1 oither coin in my collection that has a similair error. But that is a 2 Shilling from Great Brittain, it has also 90 degree stamp error! Report this Post to the Staff

But I'm looking to sell it, for the right price that is. A while ago I heard from someone that there is a way to determine a price on the hand of how many degrees it has turned. The euro system and collector's market make for a curious set of variables: on the one hand, high collector interest since the introduction of the euro, apparently much higher than there had been in the pre-euro coinages; on the other hand, no firm statistics yet on the frequency of all manner of varieties. Have you looked on European ebay sites for completed auctions of similar rotated dies? Do any Euro dealers list prices for similar items? -SCS Report this Post to the Staff

Because the local internet auction is not that succesfull yet. I see some regular die cracks on ebay go for a few bucks, this may be worth some more.
