Does anyone know what a 2007 Washington dollar error coin is worth. The error is called "wild whisker". It is a die crack and it makes it look like Washington has one tiny whisker. I have'nt had it graded yet but I would say it is a MS60. Any opionions would be greatly appreciated :).

to CCF!

A die crack doesn't really carry a premium. They are trying to sell just a die crack with a fancy name. There are some people out there that would pay for these kind of things, but I wouldn't expect they would give more than a dollar or so for it, if that.

Actually, I think I remember seeing one of these on ebay, once. Was it a die crack or a die clash? A die clash might get you a little more.

I'm pretty sure it is a die crack. Here is where I found out it was an error.

LOL!

That wasn't the error I was thinking of.

Honestly, it really has very little numismatic value. Like I said, there are a few people out there that will pay for these kind of things, but the only "high dollars" you would get would be from someone uninformed and paying way too much.

You might get $3 for it on ebay (on a good day), significantly less than the cost of slabbing the coin.
