The Twenty Dollar Gold Piece is Gorgeous, I would say By American Standards for what I can See of the coin MS-65 and the RCPM does not look good *** Just like Mine*** I wonder If that year was a problem.. Also Does yours Have the Metallic Crest on The Case. And If So do They Actually Mean A metallic Crest Or a metallic Crest That is Enameled or painted on the case Like Mine, That one has always Confused me..

sarniaguy, welcome to the forum! We have a lot of fun here, especially in this Coin Grading Practice forum.

I wouldn't want to make a complete guesstimate on either coin without seeing the reverses, but I'll go along with Jim's estimate on Mint State for both, but can't assign a specific grade at this time since I'm not familiar enough with either series to know their high points. I don't see any signs of circulation on the 20-dollar gold, am a little suspicious of the Mountie dollar since toning can cover a multitude of sins.

Gotta love Canadian coins! They have character!

Could you post pics of both directly to the forum? It can be a little complicated if you haven't done it before or don't have your own website, so here's the forum's directions for posting pics: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...g_images.asp .

What part of Canada are you from? I'm a wannabe Canadian with a quasi-legal residence in Labrador and a Canadian ham radio license, travel as often as I can back to Labrador (which isn't often enough for me). I'd move up there if it weren't for my arthritis which knocks me down and out in cold weather. The only parts of Canada to which I have not yet visited are Prince Edward Island and Nunavut Territory. One of these days...

Thankyou very much for your input guys. I have a problem with my internet and uploading right now, I had email pictures to a freind for now to upload images. (hopefully have that fixed ASAP!)
I have alot of older coins to share, and talk about.
As for the coins above...the 20 Dollar Gold comes in the set with the Dolar Goose , The Rabbit...etc..
and the Doolar RCMP coin is with the original case.
THANKS AGAIN!
